Mathematical Comparison - Algebra

In the calculation of mathematical comparison that part of Algebra calculation, to compare one calculation and want to calculate other different amoun should be understood the phylosophy of calculation in order make use easier to formulated. The mathematical language can make the problem similar with other problem, so make it is easier to calculate other similar problem.

There are two formula guideline for comparison calculation, Proportional Comparison and Inversely Comparison.

Proportional comparison use formula: A1 x B1 = A2 x B2  and
Inversely comparison use formula:       A1 : A2 = B1 : B2

Even the formula seem can be made same each other but on using it looklike differnt.
For example, formula on using electric current  W (watt)  = V(volt) x I (ampere) so the comparison of V1 x I1 = V2 x I2  so can be said that the formula is proportional comparison.

On the other hand, the above comparison can change into inversely comparison if we calculate or compare the Power (W).

W1/W2 = I1/I2  this formula become Inversely comparison.

The use of the comparison calculation can be use on the daily calculation on the example below:
  1. If you buy five books you pay Rp. 5,000,- how much you must pay for 10 books? you can use the inversely comparison: 5000 / A2 = 5/10; A2 = 5,000 x 10 / 5 = 50,000. the result is Rp. 50,000.
  2. Two workers can finished the job for 5 days, how about 3 workers? For this example we can use inversely comparison. 5 x 2 = A2 x 3, then A2 = 10/3 = 3.3333 days.
It look a simple calculation but must take the right formula in order you can make fast calculation.
